- RFRuth Mariah FinkelsteinJun 26, 20251.0I came to this bank on June 20th around 3:30pm right after getting fired, to deposit my final paycheck. I was visibly upset and even told the teller what had just happened. Instead of showing an ounce of empathy, he treated me like a problem. He kept warning me—multiple times—that if the check didn’t go through, my account would be overdrawn, like I was trying to pull something shady. He told me to wait 5–10 minutes, then made me stand there for over 30, only to say he wouldn’t take the check at all. I had to call the manager who just fired me to confirm the check, which was humiliating. And after all that? The ATM took the check and cleared it the same day. No issues at all. He made a hard day feel so much worse for no reason. I don’t know if it was lack of training or just a complete lack of compassion—but either way, I deserved better.
