- JCJeremy CurtisSep 18, 20241.0On 9/18/24 at approximately noon, I walked into the Wells Fargo branch in the Sloat Plaza attempting to open an account. There were 6 employees present and zero customers at the time. I told the young lady that I’d like to open an account and was immediately told that I would have to come back or make an appointment online. This made no sense since none of the employees were busy helping anyone at the time. Maybe as a 6ft 200+ lbs Black male I was intimidating in my work uniform. As it is a Bank and was adequately staffed, I can’t think of any logical explanation for being turned away with a large deposit in hand. This branch sucks, but the treatment seems par for the course with WF!
