  The employees at this branch are very nice and service oriented. I am a new customer and everyone has been helpful. The problem isn't with the people, it's with the bank's systems. I deposited a few checks from my other bank account into Wells Fargo and now a lot of my money is on an extended hold due to "suspicious activity." How I interpret that is that my new bank has started off our business relationship accusing me of fraud. (The bank that I am sending money from had no issue with my checks or clearing my checks.) Secondly, I also tried to call this bank and no one picked up the phone and after a few times of being looped back through the phone menu, the system literally hangs up on you. If I had known this is how things go at Wells Fargo, I would have opened an account at B of A or Chase.

  My name is Malvina D. My husband and I had been WF customers since 1991.Today 11/05 /25 2pm we stopped at West Portal branch to deposit a check.after transaction I asked the teller his name Michael Francis this branch address and phone #.Instead of providing this simple information I was referred to busy banker with line of customers waiting for appointment . The banker left for lunch leaving everyone behind. After 40 min waiting I managed to find someone around who provided me with this simple inquiry. It wasn't the first time Michael Francis disrespectful and unprofessional attitude. Besides my husband and I are senior citizens.

  Very helpful staff and there is about 16 parking spots available with handicap available also there are metered parking spots in front along the street. It is a very clean area with plenty of shade and access to muni right in the front of the bank across the street.

  I walked into the branch today and asked to exchange some currency. It was a tricky situation and it wasn’t the Banks policy to make the exchange. The teller went to the bank Manager, explained the situation and I got the exchange. This all happened While the bank was closing. The extra effort really translated to great customer service. Very impressive.

  They laid off the best of the staff that was there in their national rip-off of their own customers. Since then no one answers the phone at the branch. Slow service when it does come. I'm in the process of switching branches presently. The only reason they get 2 stars instead of 1 is the great help they provided when I was first opening my business accounts (but as mentioned, those that helped are no longer at this branch). Changing this down to a 1. They quite literally NEVER answer the phone.
