  Customer service scheduled me for an appointment to take care of something. I showed up and they said I can do the service at the teller and refused to honor the appointment. I asked for clarification and they said the employee I was scheduled with called out. When I asked why I wasn’t notified in advance they said I would always have to go to the teller, which doesn’t explain why they previously blamed a sick employee or why they scheduled the appointment at all. It seems they were just busy and wanted to shirk my appointment.

  My review is based solely on WF Corporate office, whom the tellers are on the phone with taking orders. We spent 3 hours on a previous visit doing an annual withdrawal. We deal with two other banks under similar circumstances quickly and without issue. Yet with WF, each visit turns into a 2-3 hour ordeal. At least on the last visit, we were able to leave with a check. We attempted the same process, providing the exact same documents and going through the same rigamarole. As with the previous visit, the teller’s explanation was insufficient as to why this process takes 2-3 hours. Unfortunately, we were not issued a check this time. We will now look at transferring the account with the help of another bank, attorney, or in court if needed. Another family member also had a similar experience with different matters altogether, and spent 2-3 hours getting nowhere. They went to another bank and transferred the account. Our family has used WF for decades (1980's), but something is clearly broken and we have slowly migrated to better banks with better service. Rather ironic that a bank that illegally opened accounts without their customers approval is still horrendously dysfunctional. I look forward to never having to deal with WF ever again, and will forever tell anyone who listens to go elsewhere. P.S. I will not be contacting you through the reply email, we will solve this issue by transferring to another bank. Thank you
