So tired of this branch and the personal rotation, the people working there will help you according to their mood of the day.
Some are kind some grumpy and mean, some will do free work , some will not, some will ask you to fill it up every little detail on a deposit slip, others will not even need one…. Free work specially when you have a business is so helpful to business owners, but today teller Monica Valle chose not to help and when I asked if they could do free work(kindly) she also “kindly” said, yes we could but I prefer not too…. Well I decided to take my extra 2 batches of deposits and my business to another bank…. Important thing to say is that this is a location issue, you go to La Jolla and EVERYONE THERE IS ON THE SAME PAGE AND ALWAYS HAVE THE CLIENTS BEST INTEREST IN HEART.

Terrible experience.
I came in to send a wire, and the teller (Jose) made multiple mistakes — one in the notes and one in the receiver’s name. Without confirming the details, he sent the wire before showing me the paperwork. When I pointed out the errors, he had to cancel it, redeposit the funds, and resend the wire.
That caused double fees (which they claimed would be reversed) and wasted nearly 50 minutes, making me late for a meeting. Four employees were standing around the screen, clearly confused, and no one even apologized. Extremely unprofessional and disappointing.

HORRIFIC - My adult disabled daughter and I have shared a joint account at Citi for over 15 years, and I help her manage her finances. As a two-time cancer survivor who recently faced another health scare, I wanted to make sure her finances would be handled smoothly in the future. To do this, I decided to add my other daughter and my son to the account so they could assist her if I’m unable to. About two weeks ago, all four of us went to the Mission Valley branch — one of the few branches open on Saturdays — after carefully coordinating everyone’s schedules. My son is a firefighter with limited availability, my daughter just started a new job, and my disabled daughter lives in a group home, so this was not easy to arrange. Plus we all live some distance away (Ramona, Jamul). I even called ahead to confirm what documents we needed and was told simply to bring photo IDs with current addresses. During that visit, Citi was able to add my son but not my daughter, claiming her information “wasn’t going through” and that they needed her Social Security card. The only possible issue we could think of was that she had frozen her credit after a possible data breach. Before leaving, we asked twice whether all four of us would need to return. We were told no — that my son did not need to come back. Fast-forward to today: the three of us returned, only to be told that everyone — including my son — had to be present. This was incredibly frustrating and a complete waste of time, especially after being told the opposite on our first visit. To make matters worse, during our initial visit, the representative asked my daughter to say her Social Security number and answer her security questions out loud in the open lobby, which was extremely unprofessional and insecure.
After this second disappointing and stressful experience, we decided on the spot to move to another bank.

Froze my account for no reason, won't let me access my money. They are saying it's for my banking protection. I've been without my money for 5 days. They won't let me access until I have a phone that I can verify with and I'm in which I cannot purchase a phone with no cash. Even showed the manager and multiple tellers, I had doctor's bracelet with my name on it from ER .
Nightmare and I feel like my money is being held hostage. And No, I'm not into making money illegally, all mine is on the up and up.
