When I inquired about a high-yield account, his demeanor came across as judgmental and unprofessional. He asked, “I’m just curious …why would you not open an account in the Bay Area?” in a manner that felt dismissive and unnecessary. Unfortunately, this interaction discouraged me from moving forward. As a result, I have decided not to bring my finances representing a potential deposit of over $250,000 to that branch or to the bank moving forward.
