Hector stood in front of me and stared at my money for a couple of minutes, but failed to say anything to me or his manager until I asked him why he kept looking at my money like that. He said he thought it was fake. When I asked him what specifically made him think it was fake, he said they "looked and felt weird," and continued to look at them. At this point, others are starting to stare, including one of the other tellers, and a couple of people in the lobby. I was made to feel like a criminal. Finally, Hector turns around and hands the money to a manager who has been sitting right behind him through this whole interaction and can hear everything being said, and asks her what she thinks of the bills. She glanced at them for 0.1 seconds and says they look fine, but if he is concerned then he should run them through the machine (which detects counterfeit bills). My question is, if you have this machine, then why sit there and try to determine with the naked eye, that my bills are fake? Why cause a scene and make me feel like a criminal, when you could have immediately turned around and ran the bills through the machine? Very poor taste, and I am now looking to leave WF due to their lack of accountability in the situation. Don't make your clients feel like criminals for no reason.
