- KCKira ChotzenOct 1, 20255.0I recently had a very frustrating experience with a company that used predatory billing practices and charged me for a membership I had no idea I had agreed to. After being unable to get any real help from the company’s customer service, I called SAFE Credit Union customer support feeling distraught and overwhelmed. The staff at SAFE patiently listened, helped me file a dispute, and clearly explained the process. They were honest in telling me the dispute might be declined if there wasn’t enough proof, but they still took the time to walk me through everything and make sure my concerns were heard. The following day, I called back with additional information. I spoke with another SAFE representative who was equally professional and compassionate. They documented the new details, highlighted the company’s wrongdoing so that it would be visible to investigators, and reassured me that my case was being taken seriously. Both employees treated me like a person—not just an account number. They validated my feelings, showed genuine care, and gave me peace of mind during a very stressful situation. I don’t yet know the outcome of my dispute, but I want to thank the SAFE team members who helped me when I was at a low point. Your kindness and professionalism did not go unnoticed.

- JHJ HAug 11, 20203.0I would give 5 stars honestly, they gave me a loan, a good interest rate, a good term, BUT THEIR ONLINE BANKING EXISTS. strap yourself in because we're going on an adventure SAFE Credit Union has to have THE WORST web portal for banking and loan management i've ever seen. Forgets my password regularly. Makes me call to unlock my account, verbally tells me a password that i will need to enter right then and there, and then randomly 3 steps later and if you didn't write it down, welp, start the process over because surprise you need it again. Then you get into the banking and loan management page and it's actually pretty difficult to find how to pay it as it appears at first you can only pay your loan with an internal savings account they give you, but no at the top bar there's an identical "pay my loan" option under a different heading where you can suddenly add a non frustrating bank's information in. I can imagine boomers just refinance instantly after trying to pay their bill the first time and switch to another bank with a better online interface.
