It will return some of the cash back (maybe 5-6 bills in a stack of 20), saying it was unacceptable. I will them take the returned money and redeposit it, and the machine will then return 1-2 bills saying it was acceptable. I'll repeat the same process until all of the cash is accepted. I normally don't run into these issues at the ATMs at the local branch.
