    My wife and I had a great experience with Banner Bank and particularly the Loan Officer at the Riverside branch, Tony Meza. He was knowledgeable, extremely accessible, and ever available for questions, spitballing, ideas, etc. As first-time homebuyers, we had no idea what to expect, but Tony's experience with California down payment assistance loan programs and products brought us a lot of education (and confidence) as he methodically walked us through our options, ultimately allowing us to purchase our first home with surprisingly minimal money down. He also relentlessly stayed the course with us through escrow, worked great with our realtor, and ultimately went the extra mile to get us to closing. Overall, very highly recommended. What's more, our experience with Banner Bank as a whole led us to close another account elsewhere and become long-time Banner customers. Thanks to Banner, I'm writing this from our new home.

    I always appreciate how personable everyone is at Banner Bank. They know me. They know a little about my life. I feel comfortable asking Sandra and everyone else there all of my banking questions. It's refreshing to know there are still businesses out there that treat their customers like people, not just numbers.

    AVOID AT ALL COSTS If I could give this bank a zero stars I would. And it is very unfortunate to post this considering my whole family has banked with them since I was in elementary school. This was my first bank and back then they were great, helpful and kind but in the recent years their customer service has had a significant downgrade due to complete change in staff. To start off this bank is easily and often hacked, me and multiple family members had been victim of this even when being very careful with our card information and not purchasing from any strange websites. Secondly, there is a cut off time for Zelle with this bank, my entire family would experience, after 7pm you cannot use Zelle leaving me stranded multiple times through out the years since they first started offering Zelle. This includes receiving Zelle’s. From there you cannot connect to Apple Pay with this bank, the multiple times I attempted, it was stated banner bank does not allow this. When I would ask why all these restrictions I was never given an answer and told no one knew. From here the customer service has just became lower than the bare minimum bar with rude staff and managers, even to the point of rolling their eyes at my grandma. They cannot give you any answers or advice without having an attitude no matter how kind you are to them. It’s very unprofessional and maybe not the correct profession if you cannot hide your emotions when working in this industry. Lastly, they do not keep their word, they do not check on anything they state they will, I can’t even count how many times they stated they would look into something or work on something and call me back and I never receive a call only to call myself a week later to see no one followed up on the matter that was to be taken care of. Leading to a mortgage payment being denied. One of our accounts was frozen due to fraud and a staff member was kind enough to state when they see the mortgage try to go through they will call to verify and let this one payment go through. Which they never did and it was denied. They never call back no matter how often they promise. Unfortunate to see what used to be a good business go down the drain. Do yourself a favor and stay away from banner bank in whole. Find a credit union with the exceptional customer service.

    Always great service: It is so rare in today's business atmosphere that you find a group of people that are always personable and helpful. I've banked with large banks and small banks, but the team at the Banner Bank in Riverside are the best I've experienced. I have both my personal and business accounts. The best bank around.
