  There's two peo people in here that I enjoy interacting with. As a general rule, dealing with CitBank in-branch is complete trash. Sometimes it's the people, but mostly it's the process.

  I used Citibank in Russia and Germany before. Was pretty content with the services of this bank. I decided to open my US bank account here in Redondo beach. And it was the worst experience that I got - not only comparing with other Citibank branches but with any banks ever: 1) it required them 3 hours to open a new account - I am not even exaggerating 2) after me spending 3 hours in their office they misspelled my name on the card, I had to reissue it 3) they said the check book is included - I have never received it 4) the branch manager said that I would receive the X amount of money for opening a new account and then after I topped up my account, he said there was a mistake and I can't get this bonus. 5) they didn't notify me on monthly fees correctly After all that I decided that it is enough, and closed the account. 6) To close the account they instructed me to withdraw the money and leave 1 dollar on the account, before the close it in the system. Sure enough, they charged me for not reaching the balance limit after I withdrew the money. I had to complain on hotline to get this money back. Summary : Absolutely not recommend this branch. I think it ruins the reputation of Citibank to have offices like this one. I would fire the branch manager and retrain the team.
