- RMRonda MillerAug 5, 20251.0Capital One has put a hold on the money I was going to use while traveling abroad. My trip is 2 weeks away. They need to physically see my SS card (which I'll have to take a day off of work to provide and travel 31 miles away) even though I've provided pictures of my driver's license AND passport via the link they texted me. In order to get my money I need to go to a branch (not a cafe) and a branch search on their website didn't show ANY branches in California, Nevada, or Arizona because their "digital strategy is successful." I'm still scrambling to figure out what I'm going to do for cash while abroad. I remember when their slogan was "What's in your wallet?" Capital One won't be in mine any longer and I'll be closing ALL of my accounts.
