- OHO HJul 13, 20221.0Started with them in 2004 when everything was hunky dory. Then in 2008 when my portfolio went down by more than 60% this advisor dumped me off to the St. Louis call center. No warning no nothing. At the time I was a novice and I realized that the mutual funds they put me into were heavily loaded with fees, expense ratios as high as 5.75%. Ridiculous right. I was in my 20s at the time and doing dollar-cost averaging. I did not panic call. I trusted. And they dumped me off. Needless to say I transferred my funds to Fidelity and closed my accounts with Edward Jones. Now I self-direct. Despite current losses I’m still on track to meet my retirement goals and all no thanks to Edward Jones and Arnetta.
