  I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at the Citibank branch in Valley Village. In late November 2025, I visited this branch to send a domestic wire to my packaging supplier. What ensued was a month-long ordeal that left me frustrated, out of pocket, and frankly, appalled at the incompetence I encountered. First, the wire never reached my supplier after several days. I spent hours on the phone with the wire department just to have them tell me they couldn't locate it. It took an entire month for them to finally reverse the wire, and they charged me $55 for that process—which I reluctantly accepted. When I returned a few days later to send the same wire again—this time specifically requesting a USD-to-USD transfer to Singapore—the banker showed me a screen indicating it was being sent in Singapore dollars. Despite me pointing this out, two bankers assured me it was just a system display issue and the wire would indeed be in USD. Well, it wasn't. It went through in Singapore dollars, and I ended up owing my supplier an additional $300 due to currency fluctuations over the holiday weekend. I had to send another $300 via the app, and I was charged around $155 total in unnecessary fees for this mess. When I went back to the branch today to address this, the staff either didn’t remember me or denied responsibility. The manager simply told me I had signed the form and it was my own fault, despite the repeated assurances from their team that it would be sent correctly. In the end, I’m out $450 for absolutely nothing. This entire experience was a complete nightmare, and it’s shameful how this branch handled the situation. I sincerely hope Citibank modernizes its systems and improves its customer service because this was embarrassing. I will not be returning.

  I visited Citi bank on 07/15/2025 at 10:15 to transfer money from my Edd account to my personal account, the representative told me that he can’t do it and advised me to go to Chase Bank. I’m a Citi Bank client and if I can’t transfer from my personal card to my personal account then what kind of bank are you? I will look into changing to Chase bank, looks like they do a better job than the Citi Bank. I’m expecting to receive a reply for this matter. Thank you.
