Instead the Citi automated phone system bounced me around for 7 minutes before connecting me to a live human being...in their retirement account department!! She had absolutely no idea how to transfer me. She told me to call the (805) number that I originally called in the first place!

- LHLinda HayesMar 15, 20251.0I went to open up a savings account at Citibank in Newbury Park, Ca. The bank manager Cindi Hall and two employees were working. There were NO other customers in the bank. None of the bankers would help me. I had a $5000 check to open a savings account. The employees asking each other if they should help bc they were closing in 40 minutes. They decided they didn’t want to help and I should be forced to schedule an appointment. I then asked the bank manager who has opened multiple accounts for my husband, to help us to open a joint savings account. She refused because they were closing in now 30 minutes. Such poor customer service. I’m appalled that a bank manager would refuse to accept money! What’s going on in this world?
