- CKCarol KristianJul 2, 20191.0The absolute WORST bank I have ever experienced in my life. The tellers are gossipy and rude. I received a cheque from a company I was signed up to do business with. The supposed company sent me a letter and a cheque which I was to deposit in my bank. It was a fraudulent cheque. I called the bank, went to the police, called the FBI, everything you're supposed to do. I never spent a penny of the money. I soon received a letter informing me that Umpqua closed my account. I am a disabled senior on disability. I have bills to pay on the first of the month. I can't get another chequeing account that fast. Being ill and in a wheelchair, it is a slow process. This was cruel. Maybe they are good to their big clients, but people like myself are objects of scorn.
