  Dishonest and Rude Service This is the first time I’ve ever written a review, but I feel the need to warn others and help you avoid the frustration of dealing with this bank. My husband and I met with Ms. Tanya, the branch manager, and her colleague. They showed us a brochure advertising New Year’s gifts for customers who deposited money with the bank. Based on that, we made the trip to the branch to claim the gifts we were promised — but in the end, we only received a small item that was not what we expected. When we asked about it, Ms. Tanya claimed she no longer had the brochure, so we couldn’t prove what was originally offered. She said she would file a complaint and call us back within a couple of days, but each time we ended up having to call her ourselves after waiting three days. On our third call, when we politely asked to record the conversation, she refused. About 15 seconds later, while we were still calmly explaining our concern, she suddenly hung up on us in the middle of the conversation. It’s shocking how unprofessional and disrespectful she was, especially after coming across as so friendly at first. Do not trust this bank with your money.

  Lying, cheating, rude, AVOID!!! We were promised with gifts for making deposits at the bank. When the time comes, we were given one little gift (not the ones that were promised). We told the branch manager Tanya that we were promised differently, she told us she does not remember the details of the promotion. When we asked for the gifts brochure the branch manager Tanya told us they don’t have it. There is not a single record of what was promised. After we pushed the issues, she told us she would follow up but after two more weeks, and a few more phone calls, she is just buying time and did nothing. On the last phone call she hung up on us in the middle of the conversation. We live 30 minutes away otherwise we would come there every day because we are so upset with how Citibank is conducting business. We will keep going after this matter to the end. It is not how much are the gifts, it is the way they do things. We will close our account afterward. Very disappointed customers!

  Closing my account here, my mom had so many issues with them and ridiculous ones at that, I rather bank at Golden One, especially with all these comments, I don’t want to be the next victim. I’ll take my cash and business elsewhere. I would also like to say that when I deposited 33,000 I expected to receive the $500 promo for the MM Account and they only gave it to me because I had to literally call several days to get it. Only thing I can say is I love my Costco Citi card but that’s all I’m going to keep.

  Horrible customer service and extremely poor follow through. I have tried to set up appointments to have a new account created for my daughter on multiple occasions for over the past 9 months and it still hasn't happened. I have had the tellers take down my number and promise to call me repeatedly and never received a call. The manager doesn't seem to thrilled about customer service as well. I really miss the Stockton branch where the staff was extremely nice and helpful. I'm done with trying at this point and plan on closing all of my other accounts here soon. Ridiculous. UPDATE 03/29/24: The Area Director reached out to me after my situation was brought to his attention. He was extremely understanding, polite and sincere in helping me resolve this issue. I was able to go into the branch and finally get my daughter's account setup this past week. The manager and staff apologized for my troubles and were much more pleasant this time around. They did an excellent job of providing my daughter with a unique, professional but personable experience. I hate that it had to come to this to get things moving along but they did sincerely apologize and make up for the prior mishaps. Thank you and changing my star rating from 1 to 4. Lastly, to the people up top at Citibank....still.....please open a branch in Stockton! It only makes sense since Stockton is the most centralized location in the area. That would be ideal for the majority of the customers in this portion of the central valley.
