- FKFethi KarataşNov 12, 20251.0My experience with Citi National Bank has been extremely disappointing. All of my documents were complete, and I visited the branch simply to open a payroll account. The representative at the branch — who I believe was of Mexican origin — told me they only accept applications by appointment. So, I scheduled one for the following week. When I came back for my appointment, the same representative asked for my documents again and had me fill out an application form. I was told, “We’ll contact you once it’s processed.” It has now been almost 30 days, and I haven’t received any updates — no phone call, no email, absolutely nothing. It’s unbelievable how such a simple process can be handled so inefficiently. After waiting for weeks with no response, I decided to visit Chase Bank with the exact same documents. They opened my account immediately, within minutes, and now my paycheck is being deposited there without any issues. That’s what real customer service looks like. It’s disappointing that a major bank like Citi National allows this level of unprofessionalism and lack of communication from its staff. Reading other reviews, I can see I’m not the only one who had a frustrating experience — clearly, this is a recurring problem. I’m currently out of town, but once I return, I will collect my documents from this branch. I don’t want them keeping any of my personal information. If a bank can’t even manage a simple account opening professionally, I have no confidence in trusting them with my finances. Citi National Bank needs to seriously improve its customer service and internal management before more customers walk away.

- MYMelanie YorkJan 22, 20151.0I would not recommend this bank. Their customer service is really lacking. I had a few interactions with them and I found them to be very unprofessional. The bank manager is all tattooed up and looks and behaves more like a bartender at a dive bar than a manager of a bank. Nobody could answer my very basic questions (deposit availability, bill pay, etc etc). Having been raised in Nashville I guess I am just spoiled with Southern hospitality…this bank is based out of Los Angeles and I don’t think any of their staff is from the area, if so they don’t act like it. I wasn't impressed.
