  I am reviewing CITI BANK AS A BUSINESS. I found out that Citi Bank closed my checking account on May 30 as I log in on line to pay my bills.I called the 1888 number and they cannot give me a lot of information and said go to your branch. I went to my branch May 31 and Bank representative same cannot give much information and said that Citibank will send me a letter and the remaining balance in 10 -15 business days.Days past by nothing on the mail. I went to my Citibranch again June 9 to follow up and Bank Representative said just wait and it is in process. June 14 still no letter on the mail and I went Back to my Citibank branch to follow up. I was instructed to call the Citibank 1888 number and ask for the closure Department/Back Office. I called the 1888 number and Representative Updated me with she can see on the notes and it is in process and takes now 30-60 business date to process. Representative said she is not allowed to do that. I escalated and requested to talk to account supervisor. Account supervisor said same thing, no additional information given to additional action done.I am not disputing the closure but I furious with the untimely processing of the account. Its been 15 business days since the account closure, they still have our balance which we need for daily expenses. I am very disappointed with the communication access. I am able to speak to Citibank Call Center that cannot give me a lot but only for what is noted on my account. In the meantime CitiBank is holding our balance and will be returned in 30-60 days with no interest.
