- TSTim StevensonOct 30, 20251.0Concern Regarding Discriminatory Treatment at Quail Hill Branch Dear Bank Management, I’m writing to formally address a troubling experience I had at your Quail Hill Branch today, Wednesday, October 29th, at approximately 4:14 PM. I entered the branch to deposit a valid business check into an established account. Instead of a routine transaction, I was met with a series of unnecessary and inappropriate questions from the teller, including: “What is this check for?” “Why didn’t you deposit it at the San Clemente Branch where the account was opened?” These questions were irrelevant to the transaction and gave the clear impression of profiling. The teller also commented that they “didn’t see recent deposits” from the issuing company—information they had no context to interpret, as our event occurs once annually. To make matters worse, they questioned the authenticity of the signature on the check, which was issued from a reputable institution, JP Morgan Chase, by a business that has been established since 2006. I then drove two miles to another branch where the same check was deposited without issue. This inconsistency in professionalism and treatment is unacceptable. As a longtime resident of Quail Hill and the Founder of MO’AT Inc. and Dance A’Tak Dance Convention, I expect and deserve respectful, unbiased service. I encourage your management team to review this incident carefully and ensure staff are retrained to treat all customers with equal professionalism and courtesy.
