    I had a very disappointing experience at California Bank & Trust. I came in to cash a check that was issued from their own bank, and instead of being able to verify it internally, they called my workplace to confirm the amount. This made no sense to me especially because when I deposited the same check at a different bank, the funds were available immediately with no issues. I couldn’t believe that California Bank & Trust couldn’t verify a check

    Ya, I'm not surprised at the poor reviews here. Staff is condescending like I'm lucky to be able to work with them. They even admit they are not always ready at opening at 9:00 so customers just have to wait. Won't be opening new accounts with them after all.
