  I have been to this Sunnyside branch three time to close out a safety deposit box for my brother who had a stroke and is paralyzed. Each time has been a disaster. Each time the person I speak with has a new idea on how the process should’ve been done. Even though I’ve gained access to the box in the past to remove documents. I was to wait close out the box until after January 1, 2026. The person that did the power of attorney for Wells Fargo was a Wells Fargo employee and he is present on the 3rd attempt on January 8, 2026. I made a 9 AM appointment and while I was waiting outside for the bank to open the new manager, Melissa assured me that I wasn’t going to be able to get into this box because she didn’t think the paperwork would be sufficient. I left the keys with the new manager Melissa. She said the box would have to be emptied out. I told her I said I already emptied out the box. I’ve been in the box before, I just want to terminate the contract. She said, said she can’t do it. I left her the keys and said please don’t call me. I can now see why they have a 2.7 rating out of five stars.

  Father was an account holder, he died a few days ago, onThanksgiving. Now, my ducks are in a row and death certificate is in process, I know not to expect account information prior to that. He doesn't have a ton of money I'm worried about. Just making sure I take care of everything. So, wells fargo, their customer service number, placed me on hold three separate times, each with the hold music shutting off a minute in, so I'm stuck waiting in complete silence without an answer multiple times until I give up and call the branch. The branch, first young lady to answer the phone, is terrible at conveying information, stuttering, unsure, hard to understand. Get another assistant on the line and get answers: not only do I have to try to call customer service again, or waste time to go to the branch, to schedule an appointment so they can print and notarize an affidavit, but I have to wait 40 days from time of death, and they won't, if necessary, assist in returning any social security or other direct deposits that may occur during that excessive wait period. It's absolutely off-putting to me that neither branch member bothered to offer condolences, that they wouldn't assist (Once proper paperwork is aquired and their arbitrary wait period have elapsed) in correction of any issues that may have occured after death, and that their customer service hotline is in the state it is in. I just lost my dad, it's the holidays and everyone is busy, yet now I'm forced to hold onto the stress of this and future encounters with this bank for another 36 days at least.

  Audrey was very informative and helpful. She helped my partner and I open a joint account, I did make an appointment so we were helped right away and didn’t have to wait. Everything went smoothly and she was great at explaining their policy and different types of services they offered.
