- AGAnthony GarciaSep 6, 20241.0Bank teller asked me for my social security number to cash a check and I have never once been asked that while cashing a check here so I wrote it down but out of uncomfort I asked the teller why is it that she needed that information and she told me “because the machine will need to verify” meanwhile a lady right next to me is cashing a check and she came after I did so I heard her whole encounter and not one time was she asked for anything more than a thumb print, signature, and identification card… a normal interaction… this bank can be trying to steal peoples information on the guise of “official business”… be very very careful
