  I HAD ONE QUESTION CYNTHIA VARELA I saw the reviews and didn’t think much of it, I didn't even read them because I had 1 question to ask them. I tried getting ahold someone from 2 different branches via phone call but couldn’t get through because I was stuck in their automated system (1st experience with Citi Bank, VERY FRUSTRATING). So I walk into the physical bank. The person who helped me (Cynthia Varela per the card she gave me) was dismissive of my struggles during conversation and repeated questions when she didn’t get the answer from me that she wanted. It seemed as though she wanted me to accept the initial issue I’d brought to her attention instead of helping me get it resolved. Maybe she was having a bad day and I can understand not wanting to come to work but her representation of customer support at Citi Bank mirrors the 2 star Google review this branch has.

  I’m extremely disappointed with the service at this Citibank branch. I walked in to open an account and was told I needed an appointment, despite several employees sitting at their desks doing nothing. Only one person was working the counter, while others were on their phones, and one individual, who I assume was the branch manager, was walking the floor offering no help at all. This kind of service is unacceptable. If staff are present, they should be available to assist walk-in customers. I won’t be returning to this location or banking with Citibank again. The only positive part of the visit was the friendly young lady at the front. She has always been kind and welcoming. I wish I had caught her name; she deserves recognition for her professionalism.

  I had four checks from Citibank issued to me through the VA for my mileage reimbursement and I have two lines of credit through Citi so it isn't like I have no account but I am unable to cash checks from Citibank at this location. I have to go to completely different cities. It doesn't make any sense why I couldn't do something so simple at this branch. I had considered opening a checking account at this location but I don't even want to get started if they have odd policies such as this.
