- RPRobert PayneJun 17, 20231.0My problem is not necessarily with the people at any branch and I've interacted with three branches in the 20 years I've had an account with CBT and there are a lot of good people I've worked with. The truth is they aren't really a "local" bank though because much of the gears of the machine are located in Salt Lake City. In the last five years these out of state folks have zealously locked my bank account and credit card at the slightest provocation--If I did anything out of my regular spending habits expect to have it blocked (i.e birthday gifts, a meal 4 hours away, etc.) I even tried calling ahead to let them know recently, and just because I called, they thought it was "suspicious" and blocked the account anyway! You just can't win. :( It wasn't always like this, but the last four years have been pretty bad and has made life inconvenient and stressful. So I'd try to dissuade anyone from banking with CBT, I for one am switching banks.
