- DDDinaSep 22, 20251.0Mr Lopez one of the bankers at the Fox Hills location on Slauson at Sepulveda is rude, he's very condescending and disrespectful not once did he call me by my name. I am 65 years old, I grew up nearby in Windsor Hills/View Park. I recently moved back to Los Angeles about 6 months ago. Anyway I have accounts with Citi Bank already and wanted to open another checking account, however I had my previous address on my driver's license not my present address. I mentioned that I was going to the DMV next week to pay my auto registration which is due in several weeks and I would update my address then. It took him over 30 minutes to say he couldn't open another checking account until I update my address. Before that he ask to see my social security card, which I showed him and my driver's license and ATM card. I noticed he was looking around in my account like he was doing a examination of my transactions. Then he ask me how long did I live at my previous address. I started to get suspicious of him being someone that maybe apart of a identity theft ring and straight up told him that I didn't trust him. I told him that I had no problem waiting til after I go to the DMV to open another checking account that's all he had to say. I mentioned I am going to Spain soon and I always let the bank know when I go out of the country as we are supposed to do so the bank will know that it's me making the charges from another country. However he looked at me strange when I mentioned my vacation and he lied about two bank policies that I know aren't true. I ask him how long does it take to get my new ATM card in the mail, he said that he would give me my new ATM card right there when he finished opening my new account (I know ATM cards are always mailed). I asked can I transfer money between my savings and the new checking account online like I already do with my other accounts. He said no! After arguing back and forth he finally admitted I could transfer. I speak clear English, I even lived in London, England so it should have been understood. Reading the reviews about this Citi Bank branch sounds familiar to my experience.
