  Wells Fargo managed to turn a simple account opening into a master class in disorganization and disrespect for customers’ time. I first applied online to open a checking account in October 2025 and was told my identity couldn’t be verified, so I had to go into a branch in person. When I arrived, I was told no banker was available for at least an hour and that I could either sit and wait or make an appointment. Since they were the ones requiring an in‑person visit, that was already inconvenient, but I went along with it and scheduled an appointment for the following week, receiving both written and email confirmation. When I came back the next week—early, with all my documents—the branch staff informed me that my confirmed appointment “wasn’t in their system.” Instead of taking responsibility for their own scheduling failure, I was told they would not honor the appointment they had forced me to book, and that once again “no one was available.” This was said by an employee who was literally sitting there doing nothing, yet still repeated the same script: either schedule yet another appointment or wait around for an hour. Not trusting their broken appointment system a second time, I agreed to wait. To make it worse, that same staffer then scheduled the very meeting I was supposed to have and immediately left for a lunch break, leaving me to sit there even longer while my “appointment” existed only on paper. At every step, Wells Fargo showed that my time was worthless to them: they imposed extra in‑person requirements, made me jump through completely artificial hoops and hurdles, and then failed twice to deliver basic service—without a meaningful apology, explanation, or any attempt at restitution. For someone with limited time, this experience was a clear signal that Wells Fargo does not respect its customers or value their schedules. If they can mishandle something as basic as honoring their own appointments, it’s hard to see how I can continue to trust this institution with something far more important: my money.

  So I went into this branch today at 11:30. The elderly woman in front of me (using a walker) was informed that the tellers were closed for an hour...on a Friday...at 11:30...for lunch. She replied correctly that this was stupid, all the tellers shutting down at lunch. The girl in charge told the elderly lady with the walker that there was a branch nearby who could help her. I took off my mask and walked out. Talk about clueless. This branch manager needs a customer service 101 recap, or be fired.

  i dont think i can recommend this bank its horrible service you should send email those account owners not to visit w/o appointment u should accomodate people if they are there to transact business they can wait until free time rather than you sent them back home
