- MSMichael SpanglerFeb 7, 20223.0The 'World's Greatest Bank' advertised on the Benicia, CA branch wall. I tried to access my account & apparently, they changed their criteria for user name and/or PW...& when I was forced to generate a new account, it was a blank slate. I only deal with local banks & credit unions, so it was an easy errand to fix. Not so fast! They were quite dismissive & said I need to call this number. I said, "I'd rather you call that number so that you can verify that my mortgages (plural) were populated on Umpqua's terminal as opposed to me being told over the phone that my computer is the problem". She called the number & the speaker phone said wait time is 33 minutes. About 15 minutes in patiently waiting, a man came out of an enclosed office & said 'I was in the wrong place, & that I need to leave'. You could hear a pin drop (there were no customers in the branch). I left. I don't want to trash the whole bank because the originator of my loans was VERY competent, so this review is pointed at Umpqua Benicia, CA.
