  At this branch on Nov 12 25, an individual went and withdrew a large amount of money from my checking account. The individual had a fake ID with all my information. He previously attempted to extract this amount in a different branch located in LA on Nov 1st, but was questioned by the cashier and the guy left w/o being given any money. The cashier of the first branch called my phone number on file and informed me of the fraud but as it appears and on the basis that this person was impersonating me, no firm action was taken to secure my account as is required by law. As for this branch, I wonder how he was able to get this amount on Nov 12 with a simple fake ID while he failed with the first branch on Nov 1st? I have not had any clear response on what exactly the cashier asked the person on the top of the fake ID. Both branches are at fault, the first for not having protected my account after it was clear the crook went to the branch with a fake ID and this branch for lack of authentitcation of the owner. This is serious matter that may even point to an insider - how did the guy know I am a WF client, how did he obtain all my ID information on file, how did he know that I had sufficient funds on my account. Note that after he succedeed in getting the first amount, two days later he tried again at the same branch but failed thanks to an alarm setup at a branch after I noticed the amount was withdrawn. Steps have been taken on my end, with an alert setup on the account, complaints with both the general attorney of CA and the bureau of consumers, and a police report in my county of residence. I am also, in the process of taking legal steps to recover my loss. Furthemore, the agent taking my calls is very rude and the branch manager unreachable. Be aware of the overall protocol in place by WF to authenticate an account owner, and the lack of account protection - as required by law, after a fraud attempt is being identified.

  I went to this branch at 2pm to do an international wire and I was told it would hit the recipients account the same day or next. For some reason the wire was never approved by the branch manager and the only explanation was that it was past the cut off time? Doesn’t make sense. Sounds like someone drop the ball. Will never do business at this branch again.
