- FAfiras adelyMay 28, 20251.0Subject: Complaint Regarding CD Maturity and Miscommunication Dear Wells Fargo, I am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding a recent experience with one of your financial advisors, John, concerning my Certificate of Deposit (CD). For nearly two years, John handled my CD with no issues. Last year, I renewed my CD as usual for a one-year fixed term. We have documentation confirming the agreed-upon terms. The CD was supposed to mature in May. We even called John ahead of time to confirm, and he reassured us that the CD would mature in May as expected. However, when we visited the branch, John informed us that the CD had actually matured in November and had not renewed. He admitted that he had forgotten to inform us about this significant change. This is completely unacceptable and deeply troubling, especially given our reliance on those funds. We entered into this agreement expecting a one-year fixed CD, and based on our history, we trusted that it would be handled correctly. The lack of communication and failure to honor the agreed-upon terms has caused unnecessary financial stress and a loss of trust. As a result of this experience, I have closed all of my accounts with Wells Fargo and withdrawn my funds. I feel misled and mistreated, and this situation has been both unfair and unjust. I would appreciate a formal explanation as to how this occurred and what steps Wells Fargo is taking to prevent such oversights in the future. At the very least, I believe I am owed an apology and some form of restitution for the inconvenience and financial disruption this has caused.

Customer service here is always great, clean space, short waiting times, plenty of parking. Most recently I worked with banker, Ruthie Zarate, to close an account due to death of a loved one. Ruthie and coworker Edwin were thorough. Although this process is naturally lengthy, the team here made it a smooth one. This branch gives that old school customer service making you feel like back in the day when bankers and tellers cared about you.
