- LRleft rightMar 3, 20251.0CitiBank Anaheim Discriminated Against Me & Stole My Money for 70 Days. CitiBank Anaheim is a disgrace to banking, engaging in outright discrimination and financial abuse. I opened a brand-new account, had my legitimate paycheck (from a multi-billion-dollar employer) direct deposited, and before I even received a debit card, checkbook, or made a SINGLE transaction, they blocked and then CLOSED my account without warning or explanation. This was pure discrimination—there was no fraud, no suspicious activity, nothing unusual. Just me, a hardworking person, depositing my paycheck. Yet, the branch manager, Mario, personally saw to it that my account was shut down immediately, without cause. But it gets worse—CitiBank is now HOLDING MY MONEY HOSTAGE FOR 70 DAYS. I have to wait 60 DAYS for them to "officially" close my account, and then ANOTHER 10 DAYS just to receive a check. I cannot touch a single cent of my own hard-earned money for OVER TWO MONTHS. CitiBank has effectively stolen my paycheck. This is not just bad banking—this is financial discrimination and abuse. How is it acceptable for a bank to seize a customer's paycheck, deny them access to their own funds, and then tell them they must wait 70 DAYS to get their money back? What CitiBank is doing is nothing short of predatory and unacceptable. I would NEVER bank with a place that targets customers based on who they are. CitiBank needs to be held accountable for this discriminatory and unethical behavior. I will not stop speaking out until my money is released. **To anyone considering CitiBank—**stay far away unless you want to risk being profiled, mistreated, and having your money stolen from you.
