After a long wait, they put a 5-day hold on my cheque — something I’ve been depositing instantly at other TD branches for the past four years. Their only explanation was “we’re not comfortable.” When I pointed out that other branches process it right away, they claimed it was “that branch’s rule.” If TD can’t maintain consistent policies across branches, how can customers trust the service? Completely unprofessional and frustrating.
- LFLondon FogAug 6, 20251.0My name is Sheila. I went to TD Bank on August 5th at 703 Park Royal North, West Vancouver at 4.45 pm.. I waited over 10 minutes in line. The teller, Wendy, assisted me, and I must say it was by far the worst customer service I have ever received. She was arrogant and rude from the start. After I provided two pieces of government ID, I asked for a bank draft for a specific amount. She told me I had to pay the balance in cash. I explained that I didn’t have cash on me but could withdraw it from the ATM while she prepared the paperwork. She then said that if I went to the ATM, I would have to go to the end of the line again. I told her I had already waited 10 minutes in line and didn’t see why I should have to go back. Then she started telling her coworker that I needed to go to the ATM. The ATM was just two steps away from me, but she insisted that I needed to get cash and get back in line. While she was preparing my draft, I quickly went to the ATM, which was right there, and got the cash within 30 seconds. When I returned to the counter, she was still working on my draft. I found Wendy’s behavior arrogant and unprofessional. We should treat each other with respect, and I was not asking for extra time to get cash from the machine.
