A Line of Credit is a personal loan that can be used for ongoing personal expenses. It gives you access to your money when you need it. Once you’re approved, you will receive your loan credit limit. You have the flexibility to borrow any amount at any time, up to your approved credit limit. No need to reapply to access funds – if you have available credit, you can request additional advances.
What do I need to apply for a Line of Credit?
To apply with LendDirect, you will need to be at least 18 years old and have the following:
A valid ID
An open bank account in your name
Proof of recurring income
Be a Canadian resident
How can I apply?

If I apply online, how long will it take to get a lending decision?
During business hours, applicants may receive a pre-approval decision almost immediately. Should final approval require verification, you will be notified immediately. Once we received your files, you should have your final lending decision shortly, no later than 48 hours, often the same day.
What is a Line of Credit advance?
Simply put, an advance is a convenient Line of Credit feature that allows you to withdraw funds from your personal Line of Credit when you need them. LendDirect offers unlimited advances up to your credit limit, all with no advance fees. You can access advances online, over the phone, or at a branch, if you have available credit.
What vehicles are acceptable to obtain a Secured Loan?
We accept standard passenger vehicles such as hatchback cars, sedans, off-road trucks, SUVs, pick-up trucks, or vans.
How do I get my funds?
You can direct deposit your money to your bank account (funds availability varies by bank) or you could receive your loan in as little as 15 minutes when you choose Interac e-Transfer®.
Can I get a car collateral loan if I have a less than perfect credit score?

Can I get a car equity loan for a vehicle that is over 10 years old?
Yes! Our Secured Loan product can be offered for vehicles of 20 model years or newer and limited to 250,000 kms or less.

You have options, online and at a branch! LendDirect does not accept cash payments, but you can make a payment in a snap with Interac e-Transfer or set up AutoPay in your online account, or pay at a branch with your debit card.
