- JAJoy ArcherOct 12, 20251.0I opened a new account online two days ago and went in to the branch to deposit a bank draft. First, they said there’d be a 5-day hold (no problem, but really, holding a bank draft?? ), then refused to deposit it because it was dated before the account was opened. I even offered for them to just hold the funds until it cleared — they flat-out refused and treated me like I was trying to scam the bank. I was not attempting to withdraw any funds. I kept offering solutions, they kept refusing (or just plain staring at me blankly). When I realized I was begging them to take my money, I left frustrated — and came back to close all my accounts. One star is given only for the kind woman who helped me close them. My husband, a former TD employee, was shocked and the stupidity of all of this, and by the way I was treated, and will be closing his accounts too. This branch didn’t just lose business today, it lost customers for good. Shameful!

I’m not the I want to speak to the manager type it’s more of an issue of it is something that could only be approved with the level of the branch manager.
