- TTTricia “Trish”Oct 27, 20251.0I think it's absolutely ridiculous in 2025 that they need to see my face in a camera at the bank. That is literally what they told me at the drive-thru today. I'm absolutely shopping for another credit Union. Maybe they should focus more on making sure they accurately get people's money into their account versus seeing what they look like on camera. They had my debit card and my driver's license. They knew who I was based on that. And when I asked for an explanation why the teller told me it was because I wouldn't want somebody else depositing money into my account which made no sense. I think if you want to see my face, we should have your faces on camera so we can see you as well since you're handling our money. I think what I'm saying is it's time to find a new credit Union.

I bank consistently at about 4 or 5 differnt retail banks, including 1 other credit union, and a few in different states, and Desert Schools is by far the worst. Their policies, information, transit times, processes and fees are archaic and nonsensical, Their online banking is confusing and lacks adequate information, and customer services is terrible. I have reduced to only using DSFCU as a transit account for other people who also use it, because it is so painful to interact with outside institutions, and even that is a pain and fails often. Regarding this particulare branch, I cant tell you the number of times tellers at this branch have put my deposits into wrong accounts (I only have 2) failed to share crucial information, not known the banks on policies or procedures, or shared wrong information over the years. Im not even a person that writes reviews, but I feel compelled to take a moment and write this as I go about figuring out how to rerout the funds for the deposit I made today that the banker specifially told me would be avaible to day in order to pay my rent, which are (big surprise) not available. In this digital era a have ZERO patience for this processing delay- first of all, if the funds are supposed to be available immediately they should be available immedately. Morever im convinced that these hundreds of thousands of dollars of funds "in transit" dont just dissapear for the hours or days they are in transit, they are being invested and reinvested for the banks profit, and to our inconvenience. Two thumbs down .
