I have banked with MidFirst since before my son was born , I think almost 12 years now. I haven’t had much of a problem until recently. They upped the cost of overdrafts since Covid, knowing people are struggling so they raise the price of your struggle. Customer service at this location is horrendous and they can charge up to 5 overdrafts a day for $35 a pop. So many people have revised how they bank because it is 2025… not 2010. There are now banks with NO overdrafts (even on ACH). I finally made the decision after 12 years that I will no longer be taken advantage of by this awful bank. They were okay 10 years ago, but their online banking system (I think Vios owns it) is completely inaccurate. It makes it look like you have money that you really don’t have so they can pin you with overdrafts. This is disgusting behavior and has only gotten worse with the online banking update. I am a single mother and I simply cannot afford to bank with them. They took nearly half of my paycheck in 2 days with overdrafts. Capital one 360 has no overdrafts, great customer service and I don’t have to worry about how I’m going to feed my kid because my bank robbed me again. Fun fact: a banker was punched in the face and arrested this week at one of their locations. I could honestly see why! If MidFirst doesn’t change their ways, there won’t be a MidFirst in 5 years. People will leave in the droves!
