WellsFargo update your app to allow me to renew my CD online instead of this in person specific window b.s. It’s frustrating, inconvenient, and totally unnecessary. I have been jerked around the last 3 times I’ve tried to renew my CD in person. It makes me want to pull all my money and go to a different bank.

I was told nothing about needing to open an account over the phone, simply that I would need to pay a fee. We got there and started the process with a clerk. Then her boss came out and I was told that I would need to open an account with them to do a cashier's check. So now I'm late for my social security appointment AND I still need a cashier's check. Thanks Wells Fargo!
- DTDenise TiftJul 8, 20251.0My daughter called her and asked if they did cashier's checks. We were on a major time constraint trying to make a passport appointment at the office 5 minutes away. The man she spoke to on the phone confirmed this location does cashier's checked and informed her if she doesn't have an account there would be a fee. We thought the fee was fine as we were in a rush trying to make her appointment. We walked in and started the process with a clerk, and then eventually she called out her boss or manager. The manager informed us we would need to open an account with Wells Fargo to use their cashier's check services. The man informed us that opening an account with a clerk would take up to a half an hour. As we were ALREADY LATE for my appointment, we decided to walk out and go to our bank. Not only do Wells Fargo employees not know their own policies, now my daughter is late for her appointment and will most likely need to wait hours to be seen. Terrible place, horrible business practices. Total waste of space and time and energy.
