    I joined CSCU at the recommendation from Dave Ramsey. The overdraft fees pile on even when my account says I have funds available, suddenly many more charges show up and I accrue more fees. About 6 months ago my girlfriend was laid off and I had to work extra OT to keep the mortgage afloat. Over that time I accrued several dozen fees of $33 each. Today I scheduled an appt to see if there could be any exceptions made to reverse so many fees now that my girlfriend is working again and I had time to actually go in to explain the extenuating circumstance regarding why I had so many fees the past few months. It was already embarrassing enough as it is, but I’ve done what I can to keep our home for us and our 2 kids. They said they can only reverse 7 fees. “The system won’t allow any more”. I joined this CU as opposed to a bank because they’re supposed to be non-profit and care. It has not felt that way at all, and I had to leave exceedingly disappointed and still very embarrassed. If you’re looking for a personable “not for profit” financial institution, please look elsewhere. I am writing this emotional and defeated right after leaving with my tail between my legs. Convenient for them to simply say “the system won’t allow me”.
