MidFirst Bank is, quite simply, the best bank on the planet. First they learn your name and make you feel not only welcome, but special as well. Then they always provide exceptional customer service. It's not the biggest bank, but it is definitely the best.

Absolutely the worst banking experience I’ve ever had. MidFirst Bank closed my account without any notice, even though it was in good standing. Just hours before they locked it, I deposited $200, only to find my card completely frozen with no access to my own funds. When I called, I was given nothing but conflicting and misleading excuses. First, they claimed it was an “address verification issue,” even though I had brought proof of address to the branch a week earlier. Then, after being transferred, I was told the account was closed due to some supposed “poor banking history” from a fraud dispute at an entirely different bank — something completely unrelated to my MidFirst account. But was told I could instead be put into a "second chance account" but I was now going to be charged monthly service fees to keep the account open and had a lot more restrictions for use. Because i dont want to get charged $8 a week to cash my check at this bank due not having an account with them i got put into that second chance account and have had this new account for a couple of months now. Now to make matters worse, they locked my card from making online bill payments, claiming they received “returned mail,” even though I have consistently received all of their mail at the exact same address on my account. But when I called again they told me there was no issue with the account but again still was not able to pay bills online (which had never been an issue for the last 2 months). The lack of transparency, accountability, and professionalism is shocking. Freezing someone’s funds, lying about the reasons, and constantly shifting explanations is beyond unacceptable. I would never recommend MidFirst Bank to anyone — unless you’re okay with having your account randomly shut down and your money held hostage without warning. Will definitely be finding a different bank to bank with..

We switched to MidFirst back in 2021 (from BofA) because BofA stopped answering phone calls. MidFirst is always available to assist by phone or in person.
