A minor account processing issue over the holiday was escalated unnecessarily and handled without flexibility or meaningful support. After several calls and a corporate review that led nowhere, we’ve decided to close two business accounts and one personal account. We also bank with another institution in the same location and have consistently had a better experience there. We’re moving our business elsewhere.

I needed a replacement card and the Taylor Loop branch couldn’t reprint due to their machine being down, so I went to the headquarters down the street to have a new one printed there. Sadly, the associate that dealt with me didn’t know how to reprint a card and said I needed to wait for another associate. After waiting for half an hour I gave up and left and ordered the replacement card over the phone which I was advised took 7-10 business days. Fast forward two weeks and the monthly charge for my account overdrafted my account resulting in a fee of $35 for my “convenience.” Called customer service and was advised they can’t do anything over the phone and that I would need to go to a physical branch, which is hardly convenient as I actually have a job to go to and the opening hours are M-F 9-5. The branch manager at the Taylor Loop location didn’t want to reverse the charge and wouldn’t entertain any discussion, so I just closed my account instead. This bank paid me $500 to open the account and then lost me in the space of a month from poor customer service and $35 - very odd practices from a company struggling to get customers.
