- MRMichelle RodgersDec 16, 20251.0Sharing our experience for consumer awareness — Bank OZK account handling issue In October, our Bank OZK account was impacted by confirmed fraudulent activity, which resulted in the account being restricted during a fraud investigation. We followed the bank’s instructions, filed a police report, and worked directly with branch leadership. Because of the restriction, we lost online and mobile access to our account and were advised that essential payments, including our mortgage, would continue to be handled during this period. In December, we learned that neither our November nor December mortgage payments had been processed. We were not notified by the bank when either payment failed and only became aware after being contacted by a third party. We later learned that an October mortgage payment had been duplicated, while reimbursement for fraud-related losses remains unresolved. We are actively working with the bank to resolve this matter. This post is shared for transparency and consumer awareness only. If your account is ever restricted due to fraud, get written confirmation on how critical payments will be handled and how you will be notified if something goes wrong.

Why can't any of the bank ozk up here in central Arkansas operate like that? I guess bank ozk is owned by individuals. Being open on Saturday mornings sure makes it convenient for people. Looks like im going to have to find a new bank. Lol
