- SHStuart HiserodtJun 24, 20241.0Quite possibly the worst bank I’ve ever dealt with. I have accounts with Regions, Bank of America, two federal credit unions, Citibank and a local bank in Austin. The amount of legal requirements that have to execute trust documents, the inability to reissue cashiers checks, the poor customer service and just the unwillingness to help “this is our process and we can’t do anything about it” is ridiculous. You are better off going with a big bank with the amount of bureaucracy they have, at least the big banks have more convenient locations, and the smaller banks treat you better and have better rates on HELOCs and other financial offerings. If you find a rate that’s close to the one Bank OZK offers, go with the other institution you’re going to get better service and in the long run a better relationship.

This is an inconvenience to some people that have to work but want to deposit or whatever in the morning BEFORE work. I had to be at the bank before work, but had to be late to work because they were not open till 9.
