Although they are slightly understaffed, I find the personnel are attentive and anxious to help. I feel very comfortable there. I have started banking there instead of the other branches for convenience but also for the long haul.

My brother who was on hospice care had his debit card, I D, and Social security card stolen by his next door neighbor. She then made several fraudulent charges and withdrawals from his account. She also used his info to open a new account in his name and deposited a counterfeit $3,000.00 check from Coca Cola then withdrew the funds - no holding period - . My brother reported the fraud, they did nothing. One of his Hospice nurses helped him again to report the fraud - and they sent Him a letter stating the money in his checking account that had just been deposited from SS was used to reimburse bank and all of his accounts had been closed. When I called them with him the following week - and reported the fraud again, they acted as if this were the first time it had been reported and transferred me to their fraud department who told me all his accounts had been closed and he would never be allowed to bank with them again. They treated him like he was the one committing the fraud. This upset him so bad he started going downhill rapidly. The day the hospice nurse called me to come because he was passing I was trying to get power of attorney so they would talk to me at the bank as he was unable to go himself. I went straight to him with my family and we stayed with him until he passed- but it wasn’t easy, he had been so worried and upset that he did not go peacefully as he should have. He had been saving money for his final expenses when all this took place. He didn’t want to burden anyone else. This absolutely killed him. The following week the bank sent a letter to him stating they had investigated and were crediting some of the stolen money back to his account- I guess they reopened it. When I tried to call them and ask that they re-freeze his account so that the person whole stole all of his info won’t be able to steal anything else - they wouldn’t even let me tell them his name- so they could at least watch the account. (I know I need a death certificate to talk to them about the account, and I will take it as soon as I get it.) The customer service rep Holly was so rude. She got louder and louder with me and never let me explain to her that I wasn’t trying to get info on the account until I had proper paperwork -I just wanted them to be aware of possible future fraud until I had his death certificate to close the account. I asked her repeatedly to transfer me to customer service -as she suggested where I have now been waiting 47+ minutes. All I wanted to do was give them his name so that they could flag it or something to keep this criminal from benefitting from my brother’s account any longer. I never asked for any info on his account. The rep-Holly never even acknowledged his death- any normal human would have at least said, “sorry for your loss.” She didn’t not even when I broke down crying and apologized to her. I never have and never will use Wells Fargo bank. Now 57+ minutes waiting- hanging up.

A wonderful experience today... Ashanti was very helpful. I didn't have all that was needed to have my forms notorized, she kindly explained what was needed, and a time to return so that she could finish the process. I returned and she took care of me as promised. Excellent Customer Service!
