- ATAmanda ThomasSep 15, 20251.0I contacted my bank well in advance of my trip to let them know I’d be traveling out of the country. I gave them all my travel dates, and the representative assured me that everything would be fine. However, once I arrived at my destination, my card didn’t work at all. I couldn’t check into my hotel, which was incredibly stressful. When I called the bank from abroad, they told me my card had been deactivated and acted like there was nothing they could do. After escalating to a supervisor, they reactivated it and I tested it on the phone—it worked. But the very next day, it was deactivated again. Another call, another round of confusion—they said it shouldn’t have been reactivated in the first place, but then reactivated it once more and promised it wouldn’t happen again. And yet, for the third time, it was deactivated, leaving me stranded in another country with no access to funds. At that point, the attitude I got from the bank was basically, “We’re not sure how we can help you.” It was an incredibly frustrating and stressful experience.

- TGTrey GaffordAug 26, 20191.0WARNING: My account was hacked at CenterState. Someone got in and changed my security questions. CenterState (FL Headquarters) tried to blame it on me. But I work in the computer field and keep virus, malware and spyware scanners running on all my devices. I never check online banking on an unsecure network. My devices use either a fingerprint or face ID to login so I can't be tracked by keystrokes. I have reported them to the Federal Reserve and hopefully the truth will come out about the security breach that has occurred. RUN AWAY FROM THIS BANK.
