- DRDylan RobinsonDec 15, 20231.0Well Fargo is a truly terrible bank. Nothing against anyone at this branch, they seemed nice and helpful in person. But I was told a very important, large cashier's check would be verifiable the next day, it wasn't. I tried calling all day to find out if I could have access to the funds if I opened an account at the branch that issued the check. All day of trying and I couldn't talk to anyone on the phone at the branch. Operators at the call center a complete waste of time. But after searching about Well Fargo I'm glad I didn't open an account, they have paid BILLIONS in fines for a wide range of unethical and illegal behaviors and policies across the last decade. No matter the fines and investigations horrible behavior never stopped over years and years. Look it up before doing business with WF. I don't think you could find a more unethical and more self serving, anti-customer bank if you tried. Sad too. Well Fargo had a stellar reputation in times past. Again, good people at local branches I'm sure. However this is an institution rotting from the top management down.
