- JAJean Aumua3 days ago1.0If I could put ZERO STARS I WOULDDD!!!! I RECOMMEND going to WALMART or any box stores to cash your checks if you don’t have an account here. It’s cheaper anyway because there’s a $10 fee for non-members. My first mistake was NOT reading the reviews before I went to the Midtown branch. There were 3 ladies (2 asian & 1 caucasian with glasses) on December 26th, a little after 1600 hours. After trying to convince me to open an account and I respectfully declined, the short asian lady who processed my check stated that they could not cash it. She wouldn’t give me any reason, only to get a new one from the employer. Then I went to Walmart Money Center the next day to try and cash it out; they would have done it if the back of the check was not stamped. Even my employer informed me that there was nothing wrong with the check. The level of humiliation that you 3 has put me through was highly disgusting. If you know you couldn’t/wouldn’t process it, why would you deliberately stamp the back and not leave it as it is? Is there a new policy for the tellers to punish folks that refuse to open an account with Wells Fargo? With all due respect & with all the lawsuits against Wells Fargo in the past, it will NEVER cross my mind to even consider opening an account. Because of this discriminatory incident, I wasn’t able to pay my bills on time. Thank you for ruining my week!

- NBNick BNov 12, 20251.0Never returned ID to customer after having to verify ID multiple times by both banker and teller. Highly disappointed ID was lost and not returned after a basic banking transaction. There’s no need to hold a customers ID. Verify ID and immediately return to customer. This habit of having to hold ID until end of transaction is ridiculous, especially when staff forgets to return ID to customer.

One person at the counter helping a customer with large deposit and still not close to done. At least 3 other employees that I saw who are somewhere but certainly not doing anything to help. At least 6 other people got in line and ended up leaving after 5-10 minutes since there is no sign of the line moving. Very poor customer service, so much for “courtesy” which they claim to be a very powerful business rule on the sign behind the counter but clearly don’t act that way.
