Wow, what a terrible experience. Went into the branch to deposit cash, no deposit slips or pens anywhere. They don't keep any out so you have to ask.
Then after providing my account number with my cash, get total attitude from the clerk about not having my debit card. I asked why I needed my debit card if I provided my account number. Said she needed that or ID to take cash... which she didn't explain on the front end.
Once I get my $400 for opening a new account, I'm so outta there. One of the worst banking experiences I've encountered. Nothing but attitude. Explains their poor ratings. Well deserved, I'd say.

I'm only disappointed that a 1-star review is the lowest I can leave for the gross, egregious incompetence of this branch. Visit on 12/30/25 AM. Single teller working. 90-minute line wait. Neither she nor the "branch manager" could figure out how to deposit a business check into a personal account (sole proprietor, simple stuff, I do it every year). The smartest people in the area were the couple dozen or so customers who walked in and left immediately while I was in line - hindsight 20/20 and all that. After the staff failed with my simple task, I drove to the Dimond branch, and they took care of it in 2 minutes. Will never waste my time at this location again. Everyone employed here should be ashamed to be part of such an abysmal operation - by far the worst excuse for customer service I've witnessed this year, and I was in Minnesota for a few weeks this fall!

Absolutely ridiculous that the main Wells Fargo branch in Anchorage does not have more than one teller on duty.
