  Today marked as my fourth visit to TD Bank to cash in my son's TD silver bar. He received it as a present and is thrilled about cashing it, but each time I visit, I get the same response: the department that handles that is closed, come back tomorrow. During my third visit, I became quite frustrated and pointed out that this is my third visit , and each time I've been told it was closed. They informed me that the department operates from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, for silver bars. After finishing work at 4:30 today, I hurried to the bank because my son kept urging me to go. I explained to one of the staff that the other male employee was aware of my situation, as I was tired of telling the story repeatedly. Every time a staff member sees the silver bar, it’s as if they’ve never seen one before, and they always need to check with the manager, who appears to be careless . After she inquired, she asked for ID, so I went to my car to get it. When I returned, they told me, "Sorry, the department is closed." I reminded them that they had said it was open from 9 to 5, and it was only 4:40. He consulted the manager, who was eating chocolate, and she stated it was actually 9 AM to 5 PM Eastern Time, which is 7 AM to 3 PM here. I asked why that hadn’t been mentioned from the beginning , wasting my time. It’s clear that they undervalue the silver bar, but as a customer for over 15 years, I believe my request deserves more consideration, even if it’s value just for 50 cents. I am seriously thinking about switching banks to find one that knows how to treat their customers with respect; I’m extremely disappointed.

  Stopped in to deposit a check into my business account and was told by the manager that because the check did not have the LTD at the end of my company name that they could not deposit it. Was told to get the LTD put on it and initialed by my customer (Company out of Ontario). She also asked if I wrote the check myself????? Went to my own branch and they never even questioned it (straight into my account) Was an insult by the branch manager to even ask me if I had written the check to myself. The WORST branch I have EVER dealt with. On another note my branch always treats me well. I will NEVER step foot into this branch again. I f I could have I would have left a half a star. Manager is absolutely terrible and needs to learn the policy of TD as I read that it is NOT necessary to have LTD or INC at the end of the company name to be successfully deposited into the account. I have deposited dozens of checks without the LTD on them and NEVER had a problem. Brutal manager who does not know her job.
