Currency Exchange Service
To help keep our customers and colleagues safe, we have implemented physical distancing guidelines in our branches. We are limiting the number of customers in the branch and your wait time may be longer than normal. Our first hour of operation is dedicated to serve seniors and other vulnerable populations with urgent in-person banking needs. In Quebec, we are serving these customers during regular branch hours with enhanced support for physical distancing. We ask that you only visit the branch for matters that require in-person assistance. Please do not visit if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or have been advised to self-isolate due to exposure to COVID-19 or travel.     I wanted to bring Dominican Pesos to the country when I go for my trip and used TD foreign currency exchange. What a gigantic mistake!! Pros- service was quick and I was able to pick up the currency in 3 business days. Cons- the service was as expensive or much more expensive than other local currency exchange companies. Biggest con- The $ denominations given by the bank were crazy and I was given no choice, when I ordered, nor when I spoke to the branch. The vast majority of pesos given was in the equivalent of using $100 bills in Canada. In a third world country. Dominicans barely have 50 cents change!! Now I have a bunch of Dominican pesos that basically can’t be used. And the bank says there is nothing that can be done. DO NOT USE their foreign exchange service. There is nothing convenient about being charged high rates so that you can scramble yourself to fix a service that has NO value.
