  I visited the branch at East Hills and I was absolutely appalled by the level of service and sheer unprofessionalism exhibited. From start to finish, the whole experience was unacceptable. The teller giggled and smirked through the entire transaction as I deposited a cheque it made me feel like I was part of someone’s joke rather than a customer. The branch manager strolled in mid-service and didn’t greet a single customer. Instead, everyone she passed got a dirt-look, as if we were inconveniencing her existence. The other employees were loudly laughing, chatting about other customers’ personal banking matters in full volume so everyone could hear. There was zero discretion, zero respect for privacy. At no point did anyone show professionalism; it felt like the branch was a social club, not a place where sensitive financial services are offered. The atmosphere was disgustingly casual for a banking environment: I came expecting competence and respect, but instead found sloppy behaviour and blatant disregard for customers. I can’t emphasise enough how far below acceptable this branch was. I will strongly reconsider my banking relationship unless I see swift, meaningful action to correct the culture and service standard at that location.
